Everything is Made Beautiful in It’s Time
The seasons of life can bring many joys, sorrows, challenges, heartache, and victories. Once you live long enough, you start to read this verse as a witness to its truth, that he has made everything beautiful in its time.
Ecclesiastes 3:11 11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet[a] no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.
Trust that the Lord is an eternal God and has placed eternity in us. This helps us see beyond the season we are in and know that, when we see him face to face, those who are redeemed will fully know the goodness and faithfulness of God.
1 Corinthians 13:12 12 For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
The moment the challenges of life start to make sense, and we see the faithfulness and goodness of God on the other side of them, we grasp the weight of God’s eternal viewpoint. We start to get a glimpse of how God sees our life’s circumstances. God has an eternal perspective of all the seasons we find ourselves walking through. To God, it all makes sense. To God, it is all beautiful. To God, the work is complete. He sees the beginning from the end.
Our job is to trust him in the beginning, middle, and end of every season, knowing eternity has been placed in us. We, too, can access the eternal weight of every trial and every joy. We can look past the now, the emotions and thoughts that trip us up, and trust that God will make everything beautiful in its time. We don’t have to have the answers, but we can trust that God does.
Let’s read Ecclesiastes 1:1-8 and be encouraged that there is a time and a season for everything in our lives. No matter what season you find yourself in, God is faithful. He will make all things beautiful in their time. He will make it all make sense. We may not get the answers we think we need, we may not have things done in our timing or the way we wanted them done, but one thing is certain: God will be shown faithful, and we shall see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Psalm 27:13 I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
Ecclesiastes 1:1-8
1. This is the There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
2 a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
3 a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
4 a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
6 a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
7 a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
8 a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.
Today is always a time to be grateful! Today is always a time to trust! Today is always a time to obey the word of God! Today is always a time to pray and worship our faithful, good God! No matter what is swirling around us and in us, let every man be a liar but let God be true!
Romans 3:4 4 Not at all! Let God be true, and every human being a liar. As it is written: “So that you may be proved right when you speak and prevail when you judge.”[a]
Don’t allow today’s circumstances to steal your joy of what God has in store for you! Rejoice today that God is making all things beautiful in His time! Rejoice today that we have received eternity in us and serve and eternal God who has an eternal perspective! We who are surrendered to Christ will live forever in eternity, where all things are perpetually beautiful!
