The Gospel Must Come First
The next time you start feeling frustrated and overwhelmed in your homeschooling journey, stop and sit at the Lord’s feet. Make every effort to put Him first, and He will give you wisdom.
Something I have been telling my children recently is that my number one job is to teach them about Jesus, and everything else comes next. As seen in the story of Martha and Mary, Martha got caught up in doing and serving. She lost sight of the big picture. Can anyone relate? Mary, on the other hand, chose to sit at the feet of Jesus. She knew what was important in the long run. That’s not to say Mary never worked- that would be unbiblical. God designed us as moms to work hard doing what he created us to do! However, we must recognize what our number one job is. We must first receive from Jesus for ourselves, then help lead our children to do the same.
