Who is FaithOnline? Our 7 Content Pillars

At FaithOnline we are a formation-first organization and platform, not a technology-first platform. Our desire truly is to help you grow and deepen your faith in, love of, and walk with Jesus. The primary way we do this is through our Formation Feed. Our Formation Feed is a living, curated content ecosystem that is powered by theologically and biblically sound Christian writers, teachers, and pastors. Every creator and every piece of content is vetted for theological and biblical alignment with our statement of faith and community standards before it hits the feed. This means you can trust what you see at FaithOnline. Not only do we want every piece of content to be biblical and theologically sound, but we also want it to form you as a disciple of Christ. Too often, we simply consume content and then move on to the next thing. At FaithOnline we aim to honor God with what our community consumes. 

One of the ways we do this is by centering our content around seven formation pillars that touch every part of our Christian lives. In this post, we’ll share what they are, why they’re important, and how each one helps form you as a follower of Christ. Our seven pillars are: theology, spiritual formation, culture, the global church, connection, vocation, and storytelling. Let’s take a closer look at our pillars and see how they shape our lives with Christ.

1. Theology - Apologetics, Doctrine, Academic, History, Languages, Commentary, FAQ

Throughout the New Testament, believers are warned to avoid and call out false teaching and incorrect doctrine (Matt. 7:15; Gal. 1:8-9; 2 Tim. 4:3-4). This warning implies every believer should know the difference between correct and false doctrine. Every believer deserves and needs access to faithful, biblical teaching. Learning and knowing sound theology is not just for scholars and academics, but for every believer, no matter where we are in our walk with Christ. Our Theology pillar is your space for deep, helpful engagement with Christian doctrine, apologetics, church history, and Scripture. Whether you're wrestling with hard questions or strengthening what you already believe, you'll find trusted content and voices to guide you.

2. Spiritual Formation - Growth, Sanctification, Character, Liturgical Practices, Basics, Ethics, Unity

Faith isn't just what you believe, but it's who you're becoming. We are all being formed by something, whether we realize it or not. The Bible calls us to be formed by Jesus and be transformed more and more into his likeness (Rom. 12:1-2; 2 Cor. 3:18). If we are not intentional about our spiritual growth and formation, we will slowly and surely be formed more and more by this world and culture. Our Spiritual Formation pillar helps lead us in the daily rhythms, practices, and inner work of growing in Christlikeness, such as sanctification, prayer, ethics, unity, and the fundamentals that anchor a believer's life through every season.

3. Culture - Media/Entertainment, Trends, Music, Fashion, Tech/AI, Sports, Travel/Food

God has placed us in this culture and moment, not to sit back and go with the flow, but to engage our world with discernment, being a light for Him (John 17:15-18; 1 Peter 2:11-12). From music and media to fashion, sports, technology and AI, and travel - our Culture pillar helps you think about the world around you and how to influence it from a Christ-centered lens. We all need to know what to celebrate, what to question, and how to stay grounded in truth while being fully present in today's time.

4. Global Church - Testimony, Evangelism, Global Movements, Missions, News, Persecution

The Church is bigger than your zip code. When we put our faith in Jesus we are brought into his family and forever united with believers across the globe (1 Cor. 12:12-13). Our Global Church pillar carries the stories, testimonies, and movements of believers around the world. Here we will dive into evangelism, missions, persecution, and the headlines that matter to the body of Christ globally. It's a reminder that you are part of something ancient, expansive, and very much alive and growing.

5. Connection - Parenting, Marriage, Dating, Singleness, Loss, Divorce, Widow(er), Friends & Family

Humanity was not created to be alone (Gen. 2:18). We were made for community and to live life in relationships. Our Relationship and Community pillar meets you in the real and often complicated terrain of marriage, parenting, singleness, godly dating, friendship, loss, and every season in between. We hope to help guide you with biblical wisdom and the kind of honesty that comes from people who've been there.

6. Vocation - Education, Work Place, Business & Entrepreneurship, Leadership, Finances/Stewardship, Job Loss, Career, Retiring, Ministry

Colossians 3:17 says, “And whatever you do, in word or in deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him” (CSB). Everything we do, we are to do in the name and for the glory of Jesus, and this includes your job and career. Your work is not separate from your worship. Our Vocation pillar explores what it means to follow Christ in your career, business, finances, and leadership. Whether you're climbing, pivoting, starting over, or stepping into secular careers or ministry, we want to walk with you through it all, providing guidance and encouragement along the way.

7. Storytelling - Reflections, Non-fiction, Essays, Testimony, Animation, Kids, Poetry

The Bible is one, big story telling the unified truth of God’s love, provision, and salvation of his people across time. This shows us the reality that some truths are best told, not argued. Our Storytelling pillar is home to personal essays, testimonies, creative non-fiction, poetry, and even animation. This is the space where lived experience meets faith, and where the people of God tell the stories only they can tell.

Through these seven pillars, our hope and desire is that every area of our lives will be formed, molded, and shaped to be more like Jesus. He does not want just one part of our lives; he wants all of it fully devoted and following him. Let us walk together as we pursue Jesus in every part and phase of life.
